    both the movies are vijaykanth starrer
    both the movie titles are borrowed from hit songs.(Amma koil kizhakale anna vayal merkale - Sakalakalavallavan, Enn purushan thaan enakku mattum thaan sondham thaan bandham thaan - gopurangal saivadhilla)

    First song: Poove eduthu/Amman Kovil Kizhakkale

    Second song: Poo Mudithu/En Purushanthan enakku mattumthan

    Both are Vijaykanth films with Raja as the MD.

    If I can add to that, both the directors (R.Sunderrajan & Manobala) spend their time acting now than directing films.

    Both have Yesudas singing for Vijayakanth in Ilaiyaraaja's music and both songs start with 'Poo'.

    1. 'Poova Eduthu' - Amman Koil Kizhakkaale
    2. 'Poo Mudhithu Pottu Vaitha' - En Purusan thaan Enakku Mattum thaan.

    Are they based on the same Raaga ?

    I did think about the singer but didn't include it finally. I'm pretty sure that "Poova eduthu" was sung by Yesudas (Jesudas) while "Poo mudithu" was sung by Jeyachandran. So, it is incorrect that both sings are by Jeyachandran. Please verify.

    this is some thing out of the subject..but i like to say..... Poomudiththu pottu vaiththa resembles the song malarkale naadhaswarangal sung by malaysia vasudevan and janaki
